Well, we finally got it done. After months of talking about it and incurring a few setbacks, Nathalie and I finally got the site rebuilt. I completely uninstalled the old core and built the current version of Game Forward from the ground up. I’ve still got some adjustments to make, but I’m pretty happy with the way it looks and runs so far.
Of course, the process of changing the look and functionality of the site is never as cut and dry as I’d like it to be and there were some really tedious things we needed to do by hand. This reboot of the venerable fighting franchise seems to be hitting all the right notes judging from this demo, a one week exclusive to PlayStation Plus members. The Mortal Kombat demo features four characters—Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage and Mileena—and two classic arenas to fight in: The Pit and The Living Forest.
I haven’t played a Mortal Kombat game since Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks was released, so I haven’t been keeping up on additions made to the actual fighting game over the past few years.
