Philips Imagination Light Canvas to Brighten Patient Visits

Philips Imagination Light CanvasPhilips Electronics revealed today the first Imagination Light Canvas, part of the new Mercy Medical Centerin Rogers, AR which is set to open its doors March 16, 2008. The interactive light wall will serve to relieve stress for patients and visitors of the facility.

The canvas, the first of its kind according to Philips, is an interactive light wall using touch screen and Philips technologies to animate 1,420 LED lights. Measuring 14-feet by 6-feet, the Imagination Light Canvas can have up to six people drawing at the same time, while only consuming the equivalent of a single toaster in daily energy.

Donated to the Mercy Medical Center by Philips, the wall will allow visitors and patients to draw with light using their hands, with the entire spectrum of colors and shapes.
